Tele-Therapy (Video Visits)
Your care is our top priority, so we’ve just made it easier than ever to connect with a licensed dietitian. Just like in-office counseling, online is eligible for payment using your health insurance coverage and flex-spending accounts. Sessions are conducted through a live video therapy session that is HIPAA compliant and secure.
You can access your nutritional therapist from your desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet — from home, work, college dorm, or even while traveling. With just the click of a link, our online platform creates a secure connection to share files, messages, and data. Through this link you can reschedule appointments and submit forms.
Clients can use any smartphone, tablet, or computer because logins and special software are not required. Our HIPAA compliant audio and video is the foundation for meeting requirements to bill your insurance for services. And you can be confidant that your data is secure.
How does it work?
Simply contact our office to schedule your first online-counseling session. TCTCA staff will assist you in setting up your account and then you can have all of your appointments for mental health therapy services conducted online.
You will receive an email once we book the appointment time with instructions. There will be a link in the email directing you to download an app onto your device. You will need to have your insurance information and a credit card on hand.
How to Prepare for Your Online Nutritional Counseling Appointment
Follow the instructions in the appointment confirmation email to set up your profile and complete the consents for treatment and tele-therapy. Please try to do this at least 3 hours prior to the start of your online session to allow for adequate time to download and test the platform. Download the App and ensure that you have the most recent version of Google Chrome, as this browser will provide the best experience. Please ensure that you have a strong internet connection and adequate modem speed. Find a comfortable, private place to conduct your online session. Feel free to use headphones or ear buds for optimal sound quality during your session.
Now you are ready for your first session. You will get a reminder email prior to the start of your session. At the designated time, simply log in and wait for your session to start. Appointments are available for new and current clients. While not every condition is right for a Tele-health appointment, there are a wide variety of times when a video call is appropriate and convenient.
